In a dim global moment, John Krasinski came to the rescue with Some Good News. The inaugural episode hit 11 million views. Two days later, we were given the account log-ins. 

We built out a social-first newsroom dedicated exclusively to good news, and embraced a grassroots, decentralized feel. A hand-drawn logo by John’s daughter? Perfect. Website? Who needs one. What started as a weekly update from John’s office became a community hub as we received submissions and memorable moments from around the world to be included in future episodes.

Since April 2020, SGN social channels have garnered over 1.2 billion impressions and 5.5 million cross-platform good-news-loving followers.

With the show currently on pause, Some Good News continues to live on with a strong social presence. Led by our crowd-sourced “SGN Global Correspondents,” we are happy to report that thousands around the world are still drawing inspiration from SGN, activating their own good news networks and graduating with their very own SGN diplomas.
